By Court Order, Daniel Duncan was appointed guardian to Mary, Joseph, Cloe, Matthew and Mark, whereupon he ordered into bond with Jordan H. Walker and Joseph Misner his security in the penal sum of one thousand dollars conditioners as the case directs.

In 1821 Daniel moved his family to Missouri taking his youngest sister, Chloe, with him.
