David Leech (son of John Leech and Sarah (Collins ?) Leech) was born Bef. 1760 in South Carolina, and died 1839 in Lowndes County, Mississippi.
Notes for David Leech: When his father, John, died in 1799 David was given power of attorney, by his brothers: John Leech in Barren County, Kentucky, William and James Leech in Livingston County, Kentucky. With his power of attorney he was to act for them in South Carolina in receiving monies and selling properties. [ Book G, page 338, Spartanburg County, South Carolina ] On November 3, 1800 David personally appeared before the subscribed trustees and made oath according to the law.
Book H, pages 101-171, 118 and 411 show the Leech children sold their inherited land. 200 acres on Middle Tyger River and 340 acres on Obed's Creek to Alexander Thompson; several tracks of land to Thomas Booker.

David left Kentucky and moved to Mississippi with his brother William.
He never married and when he died in 1839 he left his land as follows: To John Leech, son of Joseph Leech, land in Calloway County, Kentucky To David Leech, son of Joseph Leech, land in Graves County, Kentucky To John Leech, son of James Leech, land in Graves County, Kentucky To David Leech, son of James Leech, land in Graves County, Kentucky To Alfred Leech, son of William Leech, land in Winston County, Mississippi To Ephraim Leech, son William Leech, land in Lownds County, Mississippi which Ephraim was to sell some of the tracts and use to educate his children. "All my money be equally divided between Ephraim and Frances (Alfred's wife) of Lowndes County, Mississippi."
