My Dad is from Budapest, Hungary. I don't know a whole lot about his family. I've never met any of them. They are all still in Hungary. He says that he is a decendent of Atilla the Hun, and that one of my great-great-great-great, etc... grandfathers was a king. He said his family was very wealthy until the war with Russians/Germans....my dad is a "Banfi".
My mom was a "Diorio" and her mom was a "Rush" and my great-great grandmother was a "Swain" (not sure of spelling). I am supposedly pure Hungarian on my dad's side and Italian, Irish, Scottish, Brittish, Swiss on my mom's side. (something like that). I have never really done any research into my family. I know my father left Europe and came to the United States when he was 25. He's in his early 60's right now. I know nothing about my mom's family.
