| GREETINGS! and thank you for visiting our site. If you'd like to see if we have any common family members, please check out the Complete Surname Index below. I am looking for my Irish ancestors. My great, great-grandfather was Patrick Christopher Kelley, b. 1845. His parents brought him to this country when he was 10, but I don't know who they were. They were originally from County Cork, Ireland, and settled in Denison, Texas. Patrick married a woman named Mary, and worked for the railroad until he died. They had four children, I believe: Thomas Martin, Margaret (Maggie), Elizabeth (Lizzie), and Joseph. I would love to know who Patrick's parents were and more about their immigration. I'm also looking for my Davis ancestors. My ggg-grandfather was Reuben Davis. I don't know when or where he was born or who his wife was. One of his children was Wallace Harvey Davis, born in Mississippi and married to Melissa Harriet Glenn. Their son, George Washington Davis was born in 1868 in Mississippi. His son was my mother's father, Robert Milton Davis. Continuing research on my Bumgardner line, I am interested in finding the first German immigrant(s). The first ancestor I have is my great, great-grandfather, Jacob Frederick Bumgardner, b. 7/22/1810 (VA?) d. 7/22/1881. He and his wife, Lucy, bore a son was Jacob Alexander, b. 12/15/1847 Talladega, AL d. 3/16/1925. Jacob A. married Alwilda Keturah (Kitty) Holley, and had at least one son, Jacob Alexander, Jr. (b. 11/18/1887 Benton, Bossier Parish, LA d. 3/5/1951). My father was the son of Jacob Alexander, Jr. and Lena Tabitha Kendrick.
