I'm Evelyn Weidig, oldest daughter of Ellsworth Howard Conley, third son of Charles and Edith, and of Joy Marie Cicotte, youngest child of Roy and Evelyn Cicotte. I've been researching these lines since a Girl Scout badge project in the early 1970's. Any and all additions, comments, or criticisms are gladly received!

CONLEY NEWS:
Charles III passed away in May of 2007, so happy Marg threw that great party for his 88th! Bill and Bev had a wonderful party for their 50th wedding anniversary.

Edy and I discussed her website and its maintainence. It's a bit much for her to receive and then resend the emails and to post the photos and update the site. I created a YahooGroup for us. Please contact me if you would like to be invited to join the group. It is a private group, only accessible through invitation, and limited to the descendants of Charles and Edith.

All Conleys/Lewises - the DAR has confirmed that Hugh McClellan is a registered patriot, now all we have to do is to document that line. Please, if you have any information or time to help, let me know! I did go to the DAR archives in DC. Their records, which were volunteered by someone who claims descendance from Hugh, tell a very different story than the one I heard from the Mel Franklin line. Just can't tell what's true!

CICOTTE NEWS:
News Flash!! At Roy Cicotte's memorial service in Jan 2003, Ray Wardell told me about a family story that Grandma Evelyn had been married to a man from Minnesota before the family moved to Michigan. Well, he was right, at least about the married once before her marriage to Roy. In the 1920 Census of Emnumeration District 674 in Ecorse Michigan, Evelyn is listed as Evelyn Vosburgh!!!
