My second cousin Ed Fahey of San Antonio started all this! He researched my Fahey side. As his endeavor progressed through the years, I started remembering a copy of small black book that my Grandfather Davis gave my mother when I was young. It was a genealogy of his side of my family but I could not remember any of the names!
My brother, Anthony Chance, took the book with him when he moved to the Russian River area in northern California. The book ended up floating down that river during a flood!
Since I could not, for the life of me, remember any of the names in the book and everyone with any memory of it had passed on, I started searching the internet to see what I could find about my Grandfather, Frank Elias Davis and my Grandmother Marguerite Evelyn Fahey.
Now, in 2010, six years later and 450 or so names I have lots of answers and even more questions! A story with some places ending and some places just beginning!
