I started research my mother's family (CLARK)about four years ago. I knew very little except my grandparents name and my great grandfather's name (Patrick Clark) and that Patrick and his father had come to the United States from Ireland in 1836.

I began my search by finding an obituary on Patrick that gave me more information. Patrick and his father James came to the United States from Ireland in 1836 landing in Philadelphia and worked for the Dupont Family at their powder mill in Wilmington, Delaware. I had enough information to start my search!

The researching is a challenge and provides joy and frustration.
