About Our Family Research
My name is Rebecca Anne Wellington i was born on the 19 June 1982 in Panteg Hospitial , Pontypool, Torfean. I have two brothers a younger one called Richard John Wellington who is 10 in October and an older one registered as William Simeon Wellington who would now be about 23, 24 in Decemember. I have not seen since i was 8 years old. His mothers name was Janet who was with a man called Roy Hart or Heart, she had another son called Ian and they where living in Blaina, South Wales last i heard. Any information would be gratefully recieved on William (sometimes called Simon's whereabouts as he has never met my younger brother.)
My Parents are Frederick Charcles Wellington born 1947 in Blaina youngest son of William John Wellington who looked after the pitponies in the local mine, (which i believe was Six Bells Pit) and Lelia May Wellington who i believe was previously a Thomas. They had several sons and i think one daughter: William (known as Billy), Ronald and Robert (both became councillors in the Cwmbran area and had a lot to do with setting up the GreenMeadow Community Farm), an adopted son Kevin Wellington, and a daughter called Lelia (who used to own a nursing home in Nantyglo or Brymaur?. They produced a lot of grandchildren, but i am unsure whether William got to see them before he died, when my father was in his twenties* (i believe), my grandmother died of cancer in her eighties in my aunt's nursing home.
William's family came from England. He was thought to have "magical" powers by some of the locals because he was the seventh son of the seventh son. As far as i know either my great or great grandmother came from old Persia which may now be called Iran.
