My name is Cindy Ballew Wells and I am interested in finding information about my ancestors from Murray County , Georgia. My great-great grandfather , Daniel Ballew came to Murray County in the 1800's and help settle the Ballground Community in southeast Murray County. He married Mary Harriet Jackson from South Carolina. They died in 1861 and 1868 and are buried at the Ballground Cemetery in Murray County. Their son , my great-grandfather, John Jackson Ballew was married to Barbara Matilda Ingle also of Murray County. They are buried there also. My grandfather Landrum Licha Ballew married Flora Jane Brooks also from Murray County and my father Glenn Columbus Ballew was born in Murray County in 1919 and died in 1979. My mother was Virginia June Green of Polk County, Tennesse but she had many relatives here as Polk County borders the north of Murray County. She was born in 1929 and died in Murray County in 1995.Her parents were Thomas Clyde Green and Pearl Mae Goforth Green of Polk County.
