Notes for Doris Wharton: Doris told us on 25th March 1992 to when she was a girl she went to a talk given by cherry kearton at gunnerside and he showed them a cow skin that he used as a hide. Their father was a gamekeeper. one of the guns from london saw his drawings of birds and wildlife. and he could whistle like birds could. he eventually took them to london to study and cherry went to africa.
