WELCOME TO MY LITTLE SPOT ON THE WEB! I am fairly new to the field of genealogical research. I have been using the Internet for a short time to do research and have already had some luck in finding information about some of my ancestors. I have, however, run into several brick walls in my past! I am primarily doing research on my maternal side at the present time, but hope to expand that research to include my paternal side as well as my husband's family in the near future. I am currently gathering information on those lines and I will add it as soon as I can. The surnames I am currently researching are: BLACKWELL, COLLIER, CULVER, GREEN, JAMES, JONES, ROSE, SANDLIN, SHOEMAKER, ADAMS These lines originated in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama and Texas (possibly Tennesee also). I have always been told that we were descended from the Irish, Scottish, Dutch and American Indians (Powhattan), but have yet to find these connections. As I research, I will add whatever information I find to my database and have it available to anyone seeking information. I have had some luck so far with a couple of my lines through use of the Internet, and hope in the near future to make extended visits to my local library and LDS Center. Anyone with information or questions concerning my lines can contact me via my email or postal address. I will get back in touch as soon as I can. I hope to someday find the information I need to prove that my ancestors did not hatch nor did they crawl out from under some rock! |
