from the Salina Journal, Feb.11, 1973, page 9: Mrs. Rose M. Clark The funeral for Mrs. Rose M. Clark, 86, 848 Sherman, will be at 2 pm Monday at the First Covenant Church, the Rev. Eldon V. Toll officiating. Burial will be in the Beverly cemetery. Mrs. Clark died Friday at Asbury hospital. She was born Nov. 3, 1886, near Beverly and was a longtime resident of the Salina and Beverly areas. Mrs. Clark worked for several Salina laundry companies. She was a member of the First Covenant Church, where she once maintained a 17-year perfect attendance record. She was a former treasurer of her Sunday school class and a member of the Covenant Women's group, Women's Relief Corps, and FISH. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. George Mayse, Hacienda Heights, Calif.; 2 sisters, Mrs. Velma Pepper, Washougal, Wash., and Mrs. Ruth Hancock, Lake Grove, Ore.; 5 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Rush Smith funeral home until 12 noon Monday. The family suggests memorials to the First Covenant Church.
