Notes for Bert E. Webb: from the Lincoln Sentinel-Republican, Thursday, Feb.15, 1973: Beverly ---- We're sorry to hear Bert Webb had an accident Thursday night. A tire blew out by a deep culvert and pulled him off the road, down over a deep embankment and wrecked the car. He is bruised up all over, laid there a long time before he was found.
from the Lincoln Sentinel-Republican, April 3, 1986, page 8: Bert E. Webb, 91, formerly of Beverly, died Saturday, March 29, at the Mid-America Rest Center, Lincoln. Mr. Webb was born Feb.4, 1895, in Lincoln. He was a retired farmer. His wife, Olive, died in 1956. Survivors include a son, Gerald of Solomon; three daughters, Madonna McCall of Bennington, Lois Biggs of Barnard, and Wilma McGeary of Salina; three sisters, Olive Morrical of Beverly, Cecile Montgomery of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Lois DeGraff of Denver; 14 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. The funeral was held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Hall Mortuary, Lincoln, the Rev. Michael Longden officiating. Burial was in the Beverly Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Mid-America Rest Center or the Beverly Community Club.
