from the Salina Journal, Saturday, January 21, 1928: Benjamin F. Dimick, 888 Custer street, died at 10:45 o'clock last night at the family home at the age of 54 years. Mr. Dimick was born January 10, 1874, at Corning, Ia. He had been a resident of Salina for the past 19 years, living here after retiring from the farm. Mr. Dimick was a member of the United Brethren church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rose Dimick, two brothers, George Dimick, Lincoln county resident and Ellis Dimick, also of Lincoln county, two sisters, Effie Lyne, Lincoln county and Orrie Lattimer, Denver, Colo., two children, Olive May Dimick and Ruth Ethel Dimick, at home, and a son, Benjamin Franklin Dimick, Jr., deceased. The body was removed to the Salina Funeral Home pending funeral arrangements. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Community hall at Beverly, Rev. Parrot, of Lincoln, in charge. Interment will be at Beverly. The body will lie in state at the funeral home until 11 o'clock Monday morning.
