from the Salina Journal, Dec.24, 1996, page A-9: Harold B. Buttermore, 87, Salina, died Sunday, Dec.22, 1996, at College park Nursing Home, Salina. Mr. Buttermore was born May 12, 1909, at Tescott, and was a resident of Salina since 1980. He worked for 23 years in refrigeration and air conditioning for Culbertsons in Concordia. He was preceded in death by his wife, Leona, on April 4, 1996, and a daughter,Jean, in 1954. Survivors include three sons, Harold "Pat" Jr. and Keith, both of Salina, and Dean of North St. Paul, Minn.; two daughters, Katherine "Katie" Brubaker of Salina and Janice Tandarick of Chandler, Texas; a brother, Alfred of Kansas City, Mo.; two sisters, Mildred Potts of Waterville and Doris Yenn of Blue Rapids; 15 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Ryan Mortuary Chapel, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, the Rev. Jack Driscoll officiating. Burial will be made in Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis. Memorial may be made to First Church of the Nazarene, 1425 S. Ohio. There will be no visitation.
