Marriage Harriet Lucinda [Lucy] Detwiler (Oct. 28th, 1846)

John and Lucinda were married October 28, 1846 in Fayette County. The1850 Census shows him as a farmer. The History of Fayette County by Franklin Ellis shows John as a school director in 1854. and 1856. Lucinda’s obituary states that they had four children, two dying in infancy, and Henry and one other were living when she died May 10, 1903 in Beverly, Lincoln, Kansas. Lucinda Detwiler was born January 30, 1822, the daughter of Henry and Magdalena Detwiler.
