I`ve got the family covered back to Benjiman Franklin, on his death certificate, it list Garrison Whitaker, as his father, born in Pendleton County.I have a record of his marriage to Ellen McCauley in 1835, but have nothing for birth,I have Ellen`s death in 1846.In the 1850 census it`s got a Benjiman G. Whitaker, with the children all matched, and another daughter born 1848, Harold Slade of the Harrison County Museum, has her listed as a half sister.
