William Whitton married Rebecca Gowen on the 27th September 1738 at Newark-Upon-Trent, Nottinghamshire. There is also an Elizabeth Gowen who was baptised at Newark-Upon-Trent on the 16th August 1733. Elizabeth Gowen is the daughter of Rebecca Gowen "strumpet". William and Rebecca Whitton had three children baptised:

William Whitton who was baptised at Newark-Upon-Trent on the 23rd March 1740/1 married a Mary North on the 5 January 1763/4 at Norwell, Nottinghamshire. Mary North was the daughter of Thomas and Esther North of North Muskham, Nottinghamshire. Mary was baptised at North Muskham on the 1 January 1735/6. All their children were baptised at the parish church of St. Radegunds, Maplebeck, Nottinghamshire:

William Whitton died on the 11th November 1816 age 76 or 78. He was buried at the parish church of St Radegunds on the 13th November 1816. Mary his wife was buried buried at Maplebeck on the 29th May 1786. Mary was age 50 years old. The Will of William Whitton, Tailor of Maplebeck, Nottinghamshire proved 1817:

The bond was granted to Ann Whitton (later married to James Day).
Francis whitton who was baptised at Maplebeck on the 21st July 1766 married a Rosamond Starr at Maplebeck on the 27th June 1792. Francis their son was baptised at Southwell and the rest of the children were baptised at Rolleston, Nottinghamshire:

Francis Witton was buried at the parish church of Rolleston, Nottinghamshire on the 9th June 1835. Francis Whitton was age 69 years old. There was no will found for Francis.
1841 Census for Rolleston: Rosamond Whitton (Age 70) was a cottager and was living at Rolleston. Unfortunately it only tells us that she was born in the county of Nottinghamshire. Rosamond Whitton was buried at the parish church of Rolleston on the 27th February 1850. She was 85 years old. Francis Whitton who was baptised at Southwell on the 30th December 1792 married a Anne Harrison at Southwell on the 6th October 1814.
