The Max Albert Widebrook Ancestry Tree (Sept.08)

Updated September 23, 2008

About Our Family Research

Welcome to the ancestral tree for Max Albert Widebrook. This version of the tree was first uploaded in September 2008. The history of Max Albert Widebrook can be traced back to the mid-nineteeth century, with his emigration to America at age six to the township of New Boston in Mercer County Illinois with his parents, William and Matilda Breitbach of Berlin, Germany, circa 1868. Son Max's last name was anglisized from Breitbach to its English translation, Widebrook, when he attained formal citizenship in 1875 at age 16. As far as it is currently traced herein, this family tree includes branches of the Maddox, Ward, McDaniel, Haynes, Ellis, Reed, and Lamb families, among others, going back to the 17th century European immigrations to the Atlantic states of the US. The oldest trace I could find was Zacheus Ellis of Wales, who migrated to Virginia after 1860.
