I am looking for information on Otto Ludwig and his wife Jacobina 'Bena' nee Hotz.They were my great grandparents.
Otto Ludwig, b.1863 in Germany, d.1901 in St. Louis Missouri. Otto Ludwig was a Tea and Coffee merchant in the St. Louis area.
Bena Ludwig, b. 02/10/1870, d. 1951 in Iowa. Parents of Bena Ludwig were father,Simon Hotz and mother, Maria Magdelena Hufnagel.
Children of Otto and Bena Ludwig were:
Lena Ludwig, b. 19892, d. 1948 in Iowa.
Marie Magdalena Ludwig, b. 6-25-1896, d. 09-02-1983 in Canton South Dakota.
Anna Carlina Ludwig, b. 03-09-1899, d. 1988 in George, Iowa.
There was a son born to Otto and Bena that died in infancy, no other information at this time.
Bena Ludwig worked in a Hotel or Boarding House in St. Louis until Otto Ludwig's death. In 1905 she married Johann Meyer of George, Iowa and the family moved to George, Lyon County, Iowa with her new husband that same year.
Marie Magdalene Ludwig was my grandmother, she married Henry 'William' Wiebe in George Iowa in 1919.
