The Wiemer family has been quite prolific, and researching our ancestors is quite time consuming. Much of my information was taken from the volume of work produced by Evelyn Haack and Karen Lococo. If you do not have a copy of this family tree and would like one, let me know. I will try to help you secure one. If you have any interest in knowing your roots, and preserving this knowledge for your children and grandchildren, then get involved in this effort. Write down family ties, and tell your children about the family members that were part of your childhood. Label family photos so 50 years from now the people in those photos will have names to go with their faces. History is dry and dull unless your children know and understand how their ancestors played a part in the lives they lead today. There is no time like the present to preserve the past.

  Greg recently returned from service in the War in Iraq. He and his fiancee Estha served with the Missouri National Guards and were stationed in Baghdad. 2003-2004

  I took this picture of my granddaugther Michala Jo Cheek 1 month before she drowned. Michala was 13 years and 1 month and 24 days old when she died. We miss her terribly.

  The top pictures are of Gerhard and wife Charlotte in later years. I remember these pictures hanging in my grandmother's home (Lillie Mae Wiemer)in York, NE. The bottom picture is the family circa 1906. Burchard Wiemer was killed in action in WWI.
