I am trying to research my family tree,and my wifes family trees.The farthest back I have information about the Wiegels is about 1846 when Louis A Wiegel came to this country from Bremen,Germany on Feb.17,1846,arriving in Baltimore,Md May 22 1846.He was born in Hanover,Germany in 1806.He also had 4 other names,Heinrich,Jurgens,Andreas,and Ludwig.He was married to Johanna Louisa Amalia Schutte.She was born May 2,1812 in Strausburg,Gremany[now part of France].They had 12 Children Frederick,William,Louis,August,Henry,Mary,John,Sara,Anna,Charles,Albert and Elizabeth.My wifes maiden name was Hewitt.The farthest back I can go with this line is the early 1800's.Her mothers maiden name was Newhouse traced to mid 1800's also.My grandmother was Bertha Cummins born Sept 6,1895.
