Wyse of Liverpool, Lancashire Updated November 1, 2002
About Our Family Research
My fascination was aroused when I discovered my G-G-G-Grandfather,William Gaspard Wyse, had a second family in England. He was a Chemist in the employ of the Apothacaries Hall,Colquit St. Liverpool, presumeably served his apprenticeship and worked there from about1837-1848 . He had a wife and three children all born in Liverpool, one might say a very normal situation. He arrived in Sydney, Australia, about 1854-55.his first record there was a marriage to Mary Ann, and a new spelling of his name to Wise, describing himself as a widower. No trace of his children could be found, the fate of his wife ,Elizabeth, unknown. So this is an attempt to put the pieces together and may go back a little further into history
