John in Civil War, seige of Vicksburg. Married Minty A. Simmons in Knoxville, Iowa 1866.
John and family traveled West by wagon train 1884 to Marshall, Washington. Later settled near Grants Pass Oregon.
John and Minty had sons David M.1870 and Thomas L.1867, dau's. Emily, and Emiline(twins)1875,Bertha May 1879.
David M. married Lilly Ralph 1890, Cheney, Wash. and later settled in Chewelah, Wash. area. The Ralph family was also on the Wagon train from Nebraska in 1884.
David and Lilly had 10 children. James died at 1 1/2. Mary Evaleana 1893, David Aarron 1896, Lois Rebbecca 1901, Lilly Ettie,1898, Peter Orlando 1904, Thomas Oakery,1906, Riley Kennedy 1910, Lewis Andrew 1913, and Grace Adelia 1917.
The Wise, Ralph, Hidy, Christoph descendants hold a family reunion in the Chewalah, Wash. park the last Saturday in June each year.
