This project started when Ronnie and I (his wife Nancy) planned a trip for August of 1905 which inluded Lithuania, the country of origin of the paternal side of his immediate family.
The first information came from Ronnie's recollections from St. Charles, Illinois. His first research through the Ellis Island Database produced only one Wogulis record which was outside our timeframe.
Starting over, our first success came from the Family History Library, where we were able to locate information concerning his Granfather Wogulis and Grandmother Bergelis.
Other valuable resources were the U.S. Census, Illinois State Archives, Social Security Death Index, Kane County Naturalization Records,and Kane County Marriage License.
As of now, we have been unable to find any information at all about their arrival in the United States. Searches of Passenger Lists, Ships's Lists, etc. have ended in a brick wall.
