My great-gradfather, Samuel, immigrated to USA from Wales in 1860. Married a Checkasaw named Nancy Bone who had three children (Lee Baldwin, Mary Baldwin, Maude Surber). Samuel and Nancy had one son, Sam. Nancy died in 1890's. Samuel was a Welsh merchant seaman, came to USA with his brother and a cousin (cousin was a barber). Cousin was killed, brothers lost track of each other.
Lee Baldwin married and had at least one child, Royce; Mary married Will Jennings having 7-9 children, all registered Chickasaws; both Lee and Mary remained in Oklahoma. Maude married a Houston, has a son named Clyde; Maude is buried in Galt California.
Son Sam married Alice Leonore Haws of Oklahoma (Antlers area). Alice and Sam have five surviving children: Leo Powell, Edward Powell [registered Chickasaw], Mable Taylor (of Sacramento CA), Lorene Dougherty (of Riverbank CA), and Sam Powell (of Redwood Valley CA).
I have extensive tree of the Powells beginning with marriage of Samuel and Nancy. Desire information on extended familes, Baldwin, Serber, Bone. Desperately want information on lost brother (possible named William Merriah Powell). Will respond to all inquiries and share information.
