I am just getting started tracing my family history. I became interested in this when I tried to find out about my Indian roots to be able to give some family history to my 3 boys.
I have traced my Indian heritage, on my Grandmother Sophie Reinertson's side, back to As-kal-wilsh (full blood Chinook) of about 1792 and Arkansee (full blood Satsop) of about 1792.
I am still trying to find out more details about that side of my family, but I am just getting started on tracing the history of my Grandfather Harley Oscar Wright's side of the family. All I have on my Grandfather is the following:
Harley Oscar Wright
Born: October 15, 1896 in Scales Mound, Wisconsin (I can't seem to find a Scales Mound, WI. Only a Scales Mound, IL).
Married to: Sophie Reinertson on April 13, 1920 in Astoria, Clatsop County, Oregon.
Died: July 25, 1967 in Portland, Multinomah County, Oregon.
As well as tracing this part of our family history, I am just starting to trace my wifes family history also. That is a whole nother story though.
