"Don Wright of 18th - 20th cent. Hunt. Co. Pa. Wrights" Updated May 2, 2001
About Our Family Research
My purpose is to accurately interpret our families lineage back to my earliest ancestors in America. I have accurate information back 7 generations. This is verified both through marriage as well as census data. The problems I am currently experiencing is in reference to early 18th century records from St. John's parish in Baltimore, Md. I have copies of the 1850 census that puts a lock on accuracy to my GGGgrandfather,Abraham Wright, I know his father was John Wright born approximately, 1740, in Md. and have his father and grandfather listed. The dates, places, and chronology for the Md. Wrights differs depending upon which record you choose. I plan on personally visiting the Md. Historical Society to straighten out the dates and ancestry as possible. On personal notes: the last Wright reunion that I am aware of for our side of the family occurred in 1930, in Huntingdon Pa. I have the original photo in which my father (not quite 2) is being held by my grandfather. My great grandfather John Wesley is centered in the first row. He later died that same year. It has been too long since a reunion has been held. Once I get some more records in order I plan on making the attempt to contact "The Wrights". These are the Wright's that the "Wright Brothers" are descendent. I do have the family bible of the late 19th century that was given as a wedding gift from Levi to John Wright at his wedding to Anna M. Eby. I'm not to sure if this page can be accessed by others in this site but if what I've discussed relates to what you are investigating please contact me. Sincerely,
