Ancestors of David Macdonald Macer-Wright

Updated May 2, 2008

About Our Family Research

The family of Macer-Wright is descended from Joshua Wright and Anne Sivelle. The Wrights were an old farming family of Great and Little Shelford and Fulbourn in Cambridgeshire, possibly descended from Robert Wright of Fulbourn fl 1421 and Richard Wright Mayor of Cambridge 1445. David Macdonald Macer-Wright born in 1949 is the son of David Elman Macer Wright and Joyce May Stanford Morson, whose family came from Blackheath, Kent. This line of the Morsons are descended in the male line from the Leggett family. Emmeline Annie Stanford was the mother of Joyce May Morson and was descended from the Stanfords of Warnham, and probably Hever and Edenbridge. This ancestry also includes the Peploe family of Shawbury and the Nevill family, Lords Abergavenny.
