I have been researching my ancestry for at least the past 10 years. I have gotten a lot of my information from ancestry.com, find-a-grave and others various searches. Also, I have contacted other relatives for information, also made contact with others on ancestry.com and find-a-grave. I have made searches through cemeteries, over the internet and also have made it a point to go and visit cemeteries, when I have the chance to travel any distance, close to where I will be going and check for relatives in the cemeteries. Our last living Smith sibling, who just turned 80 years old in August 2010, had started having "Smith Re-Unions" about 10 years ago , as we the Smith Children are not any getting younger and he was trying to get all of the younger generation together. That is when I started my research basicly and have been doing it ever since then.
To bring this up to date,
In June of 2011, his only son Kenny "Pappy" Smith passed away. He was survived by, his wife of the home, 2 sons and 1 daughter, his Father and 2 sisters.
Our Last Living Smith SIbling, William Kenneth Smith, passed away, in November of 2011, in Denison, Grayson Co., Texas and was Buried next to his wife at Fairview, Cemetery. He was preceeded in death, by his wife, his only son and his parents and his 6 sisters. He is survived by his 2 daughters and numerous grandchildren and neices and nephews.
