I have found family in NC mountains and eastern NC, with Cherokee and Apache heritage,I'm extremely proud of this.I have had the opportunity and thrill to meet with a 2nd cousin I would have never known existed if I had not done this research. He gave me a picture of my great-great grandfather, who spookingly looks like my younger brother.We have found some interesting and sometimes shocking and funny facts about our family.I have used the internet, libraries, travel, census records, cemetaries and telephone to lead me this far. My research has now led me to Ireland.I have hiked to the top of a mountain with my family and found the grave of my g-g-g-g-g-grandfather.This is a very rewarding hobby of mine.I enjoy learning about my family and teaching my children and grandchildren of their heritage.I enjoy the hunt and I'm looking forward to learning more about our family.
