James Lavey Goode and Mollie Z. Sanders were married in a little country church near Alvord, Texas, in Wise County, on August 6, 1904. Both Lavey and Mollie were born in Wise County.
In 1910 they left Wise County and moved to Jones County near Trent, Texas. In 1912 they moved to the Blue Community near Haskell, Texas, and then to a frm between Haskell and Stamford, Texas. In 1920 they moved to the Carothers place northeast of Rochester, Texas. In 1923 they moved to the Goode home place southeast of Rochester, Texas.

Archie Lavey was born in the back of a grocery store in Wise County on December 4, 1907, he died on July 13, 1985 and is buried in Rochester, Texas. He married Eudella L. Harrell on October 31, 1925. They had five children: Arlene, Carlton, Archie, Dwight and Randy.
Gladys Thelma was born in Wise County on February 2, 1909, she died on September 19, 1986 and is buried in Rochester, Texas. She married James Claude Aaron on December 25, 1927. They have 10 children: T.J., Doris, Gladys Mae, Hollis, Emitt, Merle, Wilburn, Patsy, Cappie and Brenda.
Willie Mae ws born in Wise County on March 15, 1910, she died on December 18, 1997 and is buried in Rochester, Texas. She married Shores (S.F.) Franklin Turner on December 25, 1926. They have 11 children: Leona Loveta, Billie Dale, Ruby Maxine, Mary Frances, Frankie Louise, Mollie Maeola, Barbara Jean, Evelyn Ann, Shores (Sam) Franklin, Jr., Gleen B. and Kenneth Ray.
