Jacques Francois I Porche, was born abt.1680 in Aurey, Cannes Brulees, France d. 1727 in False River, Pointe Coupee Parish, Louisiana.
He arrived in the United States Of America in 1698with Iberville on his very first exloration to Louisiana. They were sent by King Louis XIV of France to Louisiana.
Jacques, was a French soldier and a Mine Surveyer, he and 400 other soldiers arrived in 1698. Their military duty when they arrived in Mobil, Alabama on the way to Louisiana and the very first exploration was to search and find all rivers, ponds, and other waterways throughout the territory of Louisiana.
Jacques Francois I was the first Porche to arrive in Louisiana, he stayed in Louisiana three years with Iberville. He traveled all over Mississippi and Arkansas returning to France three years later.
He returned with his wife Marie Philaberte Quintin, his only daughter Marie-Anne Guillaumetta Porche, who married Simon I La Croix. He had three sons Jacques Francois II Porche, Pierre Augustine I Porche, married to Marie-Augustine Du Bois and Vincent Alexls I Porche married to Marie-Louise Porche.
