Grandmother told us that we were descendants to Sir. Thomas Wyatt. So far I can not find a connection but then I am only back to approx. 1773.
Great Great Great Grandparents were John Wyatt (Wyard on some records)who was born in Framlingham, Suffolk abt. 1773 and wife Elizabeth Hines who was born abt. 1772 in Cambridgeshire and Christened April 19, 1772. G.G.G. grandmother,Eliz.'s parents, may have been John and Elizabeth Hines, who were both born in Cambridgeshire, and Eliz. may have had a sister named Faith, born 1774 and brother named Newman, born 1778
Their children were # 1. James, born Oct. 9, 1795 in Theberton, and died Feb. 4, 1874. His wife was Mary Fairweather, daughter of Samuel F. and Elizabeth Sawer. They were married Dec. 26, 1818 in Friston. Mary died abt. 1883 in Leiston. # 2. Charlotte Wyatt b. Feb. 24,1799 in Theberton. # 3. Sarah Wyatt b. April 29,1802.
James, my Gr.Gr.Grandfather's, family were # 1.Charlotte # 2. George # 3. Henry Wyatt, my Gr. Grandfather was born Abt. 1822 in Leiston, Suffolk. his # 7 son was my Grandfather, Ernest John Wyatt. Ernest and his family immigrated from West ham area to Quebec, Canada in 1903. Do you have any connection to these folks?
