The Decanter family, wether "De'Cantor, or De'Canter, or Decanter was originally thought to have come from the virginias, before that, the arrival to the dnew world on the the "Mayflower" and the Hopkins, Wallace lineage. If anyone has a name simular or a history to draw from please contact me.
I am Rita Wydra, my mother was the only daughter borne to George Calvine and Marietta Wallace Decanter, it was said that I was borne from the lieage of the "William Wallace" my great, great Grand Uncle. If you have any info,or any conotation on the name "De'Canter or Decanter ( as I grew up with) please let me know.
