Over the past several years, I have been researching the following surnames: Griffith (Iowa and Gurnsey Co, Ohio, Knoke(Iowa and Germany),Nauman (Iowa and Germany), McCord (Iowa and Penn), Suiter (Iowa), Wightman (Iowa), Ketchum (Plainfield, IA) Alcott (Iowa), Schouten (Iowa). I attribute most of data collected on my father's side to Jeffrey Lindquist. Jeff completed extensive work on our family tree while he suffered from Lou Gehrig's disease. Jeff is no longer living and is greatly missed. I attribute most of the data collected on my mother's side to Steve George who continues to search.
Lately, I have been more forcused on the McCord line. Several of we McCords have gotten together to form our own research group. We have enjoyed getting to know each other by way of e-mail. Our roots go back to Scotland. As we gain knowledge, we share it with other members of the McCord group or other people who are interested. We are always happy to hear from McCords.
