This is an on going labor of love for my children. my (1)Father was Charles (chik) Edward McLain;My Mother Virginia (Joe) Marcel Shope from West Virginia. I am back traceing roots from this point for the greatest depth of lineage on both praternal and maternal sides. To date I have found up to (3)GF:Gabriel Francis /GM: Lillian Helena Roe(2)GGF:William McLean/McLain-GGM: Elizabeth McDermott(1)GGGF:Patrick McLean/GGGM:Mary Ann McLean(same last name)Who emigrated from N. Ireland in 1845 to Ontario, Canada. Trail goes cold from there.If anyone is connected to this side of the McLEAN Family I am willing to share this information or if you have the WFT CD Vol. 92 you can find tree#580. I would greatly appreciate any new info , confirmation,disagreement, or corrections of the information I have,all are welcome. Also the same is true of the McDermott;Roe;Shope families.
