I have managed to trace my LOVE ancestors to Ardrossan SCT in 1841. I know Dan Love was given a land grant in Restigouche Cty, NB in 1852. I have scant information about the family - either they didn't like to talk about themselves or didn't want people to know their history!!! My interest in genealogy was piqued when I was about 15 and my father rec'd a letter from a LOVE family in Connecticut who were looking for relatives who had come to Canada at some point. I am still interested to see how we might all be connected. Since then, I have found out that my mother's family was likely among the first to settle here, in Canada, with Champlain. The Letourneau Family came and settled in Montreal. I have met lots of tremendous people and connected with family I didn't know I had. It's been a joy and a challenge.
