"Mae hen wlad fy nhadau yn anwyl i mi.".
("The old land of my father is dear unto me".) -Borrow, George, Wild Wales.
If you are a Yale and feel a connection to the spirit of the raven, I would like to hear your story.
If you are a Yale and believe that the Yales are connected to Arthur, email me.
Much of my research involves establishing a link between Arthur and the Yales. On our family tree, the tree shown in the book, "The Yales and Wales;" with the very last name, at the top; Cunedd Wiedig (the Ruler) The first King of the Cymry (Britons) about the year 415 AD, I have noted a connection in the book, The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Authorian Legends, Ronan Coghlan, 1995, Barnes & Noble Books with Element Books, New York, p. 82, it reads, "Cunneda: A ruler of the Votadini in North Britain who migrated with a number of his subjects to Wales round about AD 430. He rid a large part of Wales of Irish settlers. His pedigree suggests that his was a Roman family in origin, running as follows: Tacitus-Patermus-Aetemus-Cunedda. According to Brut y Brenhinedd, a medieval Welsh History, Cunedda's daughter, Gwen, was the mother of Eigyr (Igraine), Arthur's mother, thus making Cunedda Arthur's great-great grandfather. Cunedda may have married Gwawl, daughter of Coel."
Please email to ravyn@thirdroad.com I would enjoy hearing from you.
NOTE: As of 3/02 I am researching info on the Yales in America; specifically Aaron or Joseph Yale of Arkansas. Presumably, one of them is my direct ancestor (they were brothers), and one married a daughter of Sequoyah which brings Cherokee ancestry into this Yale blood line. Any info on either Aaron or Joseph would be appreciated, or the Sequoyah daughter that married one. (she was born in 1815 and that is all I know). I have Tax records placing Aaron and Joseph in Arkansas in the 1830s.
