My paternal grandfather was Yap Yeow Chin (1887-1975). He was a doctor in Singapore.

My great-grandfather came to Singapore many years ago and married a Peranakan lady here. However, he died when my grandfather was only 6 years-old. We don't know his name, or even which village he came from in the Fujian province - so that makes his profile that of just about every other Chinese immigrant in Singapore. Still, I'm hoping to trace my great-grandfather and his lineage as far as possible .

My paternal grandmother was Jesse Madgalene Lange (1902-1974). Her father was George Edward Lange, and her mother was Edith Mildred Bodestin (Boudystyn?). I'm also trying to trace more information about them.
