Descendants of John Sevier, First Governor of Tennessee Updated July 23, 2014
About Our Family Research
I have been researching my descendancy to John Sevier, first Governor of Tennessee, for over 3 years. I am his 6th great granddaughter through his son, Major James Sevier. I have acquired a lot of information using The Sevier Family History book by Nancy S. Madden, the Family Tree Maker Software and by searching death records, census records and information included in our written family history. I would love to find out more specific birth/death/marriage dates, full names, etc.
If you have any information or might be a relative, please e-mail me at email@example.com
Marble Springs (149 KB) Marble Springs was the approximate 350 acre farm that Sevier lived on from 1801-1815, the last years of his life. Sevier named his farm Marble Springs because of the Tennessee Rose Marble that was quarried on site and the natural springs that flowed on the property.
John Sevier's Cabin (85 KB) This was the main cabin that John Sevier lived in on his 350 acre farm.
Geneology Report of the Descendants of John Sevier (230 KB) The Geneology Report contains all of the information that I have accumulated for the past 3 years on John Sevier, First Governor of Tennessee. I am pleased to offer information on over 2,500 of John Sevier's descendants.
I am continually adding new information to the report and verifying its accuracy.
