Michel Johan Yax & Wife were the beginning, emigrating from Germany to US in 1740's. One of their sons was
John Baptiste G. Yax He had a son, Lambert Yax. One of Lambert's children was
William G. Yax m. Mary LeVere, daughter of a full blooded Chipawa woman named Yeh. From William G. & Mary, there were 9 children (I have their names) my line started with their 1st born, John Marcus Yax. John m. Carrie Mae Harris, full blooded Irish, coming from Ireland when she was less than year old. They had 12 children (I have their names) My line continues from their 3rd born, Roy Yax b. 6/11/1889 d. 4/8/1975 m. Lydia L. (Alice) Layman b. 5/3/1893 d. 1/13/1990. They had 10 children as follows:
Ora Leroy Yax b. 9/26/1909 d. 1/7/1996 m. Ethel May had 3 children. Ethel died, He then married her sister, Jane May and they had three children.
Franklin Lavern Yax b. 4/1/1912 d. 3/19/1985 m. Zelma Glassford
Frank & Zelma had two children
Herbert Eugene Yax b. 6/25/1915 d. 3/23/1972 m. Mabel Hickey, had four children. Married 2nd time to Ada Disotell - 1 child. Ada died, married 3rd time to Oneida McClandon - no children
William Byron Yax b. 12/25/1918 d. 2/24/1921
Clarence Harold Yax b. 2/21/1921 d. 3/31/1989 m. Betty Jane Smith
Clarence & Betty had 10 children
Ethel Mae Yax b. 2/27/1924 still living. m. Orvil (Steve)Vallad. had 5 children. Steve died, she remarried Kendall Porritt.
Alva Gene Yax b. 7/18/1926 still living. m. Zonia T. May had 7 kids
Alice Marie Yax b. 2/13/1929 still living m. Gerald John Braley 11/26/1949 Divorced in 1959 M. Arthur A. Matusiak - no kids
Marion Joan Yax b. 4/9/1932 still living m. Charles Sharp 2 kids
Marjorie Ellen Yax b. 6/14/1935 d. 12/9/1995 m. Finis Humphries had 5 kids.
Would be happy to share anything with anyone who is interested in this particular line. A lot has been left out here, but I have names and dates on all children not listed.
