I am looking for both family members on my dad's side and my mom's side of the family. 1st all I know about my dad's dad is that he left Leon,Spain probably at the turn of the century(1900) or earlier. He died in Cuba on June 9 1956.His name was Salvador Lopez. He also had 2 brothers that left Spain at the same time they lost touch with one another and as far as the family knew one went to Mexico the other could have gone to Brazil.My grandmother's name was Consuelo Berlanga.We don't know much about her ancestors. May be something to do with The Canary Islands.She died in Cuba April 30,1967.
Now on my mom side of the family we know a little bit more. We know that they are from El Ferrol (Oviedo)Spain. We also know that there is some mention in a family tree a cousin did that there is a soldier in the Napoleon Bonapart army. Do not know when or where. He was French.We also know that at one point the last name Gradaille goes back to France. That is the last name on my mom's side(dad side). On my mom's mom we really do not know much. The last name is Mirabal. My grand mother is still alive at 93 but now has Alzheimer. Even when she was all there she did not know much about her family background.
