My Dad's family was reared in Call, Texas and Newton County. My Grandmother's maiden name was Levias. My grandmother was born in 1900 and her great grandfather were of white heritage. She married James Smith and he died she remarried Jerry L. Smith.....so her name remained Smith again...and she had 3 children Johnnie, Josie, and Jerry.
