The Yeo Name Family Tree
Updated May 18, 2001
| About Our Family Research |
|
I have registered the name Yeo with the GOONS and with many other Yeo descendents have accumulated masses of information on the family. The name has its origins in Devon, where the first mention of the name is a William atte Yeo, who was Sheriff of Devon in 1356. Most people with the name Yeo will find their roots lead back to this area. We are trying to graft in as many branches of the main trunk of the tree as we can. Some may not originally be correct but between us we can work on this. We would like anyone with Yeo connections to share their research with us and we will help you if we have any additional information.

This was the Coat of Arms awarded to William atte Yeo, Sheriff of Devon in 1346 by King Edward 111 who called William Yeo his beloved. It has since been used as the main Yeo Coat of Arms.
