There are so many interesting ancesters in our line, starting with Richard Robert Rankin, one of the settlers of Texas and his wife Margaret( Peggy) Kendall Berry. Richard Robert is buried in the Texas State Cemetary just behind the Statue of Stephen Austin.

There will be a Claude Alvero Rankin reunion the first week end of June. Claude was my Grandfather, his wife's name was Maggie Lorette (Carrie) Bailey.

The reunion is open to any Rankin connected to Richard and Peggy.
