My parents were raised and married in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. My father's parents were Charles August Buchwald and Adelene Blanche McCann. My mother's parents were Bernard Frank Kromme and Irene Louise Weber. Our family tree includes the additional surnames Lambert, Glover, Miller, Schreiber,and Overman. These are the ones that I know of at this time. Most of the families originated in Germany, Holland, England, and France. The states they settled in were Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and Illinois.
The information I have at this time about my family I received from family members and census records. My parents know little about their own grandparents. When they were growing up, family heritage was not really something that was discussed.
I have the most information on the Webers. My grandmother, Irene Weber, was the daughter of Frank J. Weber who was born in Franklin County, Indiana in 1860, and the 13th of 14 children born to Joseph Weber b.1809, in Germany, and Catherine Schreiber b.1822, in France. I have other information as well on the Webers.
