I have tried searching in the past and got as far as my great-grandfather who fought on the Southern side of the civil war. His name was Robert H. Bristow. I'm not sure what the H. stood for. I believe he survived the war, and had a wife named Elizabeth, but I could not find anything beyond that.

My grandfather was Raymond Jones Bristow. I do not know where the Jones came from. His wife was Maggie Blanch Lewis. I know that she was orphaned but do not know the name of the family who raised her.

My father was Raymond Hayse Bristow. I do not know where the Hayse came from, nor why he was not named after his father.
