Dear Purtee Family & Friends,
My father passed away when I was very young and I wanted to learn more about him so I started working on genealogy about 5 years ago
Let me tell you a little about my family. My name is Carol. My father was Wayne Theodore Purtee (nickname "Babe"). He passed away in 1951 when I was only 5 and I have no known recollection of him. He had 1 brother Glen and 2 sisters: Myrtle,and Grace. Their father's name was John Wesley Purtee and mother, Ella Smith. I have done research leading back to James Purtee b. about 1730 near Versailles, France d. about 1800 in Bourbon Co., KY. I would be happy to share all the information I have and would appreciate any help on your part.
