Ever since I was a young girl I knew that I was related to the writer James Agee. What I didn't know was that the Agee family was sooooo large (outside of my grandmother's immediate family) and that we could trace our ancestry back at least to the time of Louis XIV of France.
I have resisted the "genealogy trend" until now and finally I see why it has fascinated so many people. Now I wish that I had asked more questions when my grandmother was still alive.
My mother was born in Paso Robles, California and some of her Agee aunts and uncles lived near that area. I remember meeting a great aunt and uncle or two when I was young, but living so far away made it difficult to keep in touch. Our branch of the family had a reunion several years back but unfortunately I was unable to attend. Now I regret it.
If anyone recognizes the name: Myrtle Marie Agee, daughter of Ambrose Lafayette Agee and Mary Florence Eugenia Wester; siblings: Etta, Hobson, Roy, Leland & Luther, Lorine, Ralph, Flora, Dora, Rufus, Frank & Floyd, and finally Jimmy; please email me and let me know who you are and if you have any info about our lineage. Thank You
